Mt. Pleasant Pioneer Museum and Relic Home
Mount Pleasant, Utah
Description

We are an historical home. The Relic Home is one of the first homes built outside Mt. Pleasant's fort. William S. Seely built this home. He was the first L.D.S. bishop and also the first mayor of Mt. Pleasant. We have large photo portraits of the original pioneers as well as photos of original events, pioneers, homes and historical sites. We also have collected numerous histories and genealogies of the original pioneers as well as descendants who followed them.

History

The Mt. Pleasant Pioneer Historical Society was formed in 1909. This was fifty years after the settlement of Mt. Pleasant. At that time the organization brought in a huge bronze statue that stands in front of the Carnegie Library located at State Street and Main Street.

Programs

We invite special groups such as school classes, class reunion and family reunions to make arrangements in advance.
