Established and incorporated with the Wisconsin Historical Society in 1975.

More than 20,000 artifacts pertaining to the experiences of southwestern Dane County, Wisconsin from pre-settlement to present day.

Emphasis on folk culture, arts / artists, agriculture / business and material culture.
More than 4000 textile and related objects
Research Collections

Extensive archival holdings including 25,000 photographs, maps, cemetery,township, and school records,papers of area politicians,business people & everyday families, store catalogs, published and unpublished works.
