History

Originally the home of regional poet, James Schell Hearst, the arts center opened to the public in May of 1989.

Artifact Collections

Works of art by regional artists and sculptors.

Research Collections

Artifacts from the original home of James and Meryl Hearst including copies of his poetry and essays, personal letters, and photographs.

Programs

Two - and three-dimensional studio arts classes for children and adults and writing classes for adults. Ongoing lecture series focusing on contemporary and post-modern visual and literary arts.
