Description

In addition to owning and maintaining the Black Earth History Center at the 100+ year-old former Congregational Church on Blue Mounds Street, the Black Earth Historical Society also owns, maintains, and operates the museum in the colorfully-restored 1860s railroad depot on Mills Street.

Board meetings, research & community special events such as the Spring rummage sale fundraiser, Field Days open house, and Santa open house.

Monthly board meetings held at 6:30 usually the first Wednesday evening of the month at the Black Earth History Center.

History

Established in 1992, the Black Earth Historical Society is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization of volunteers dedicated to preserving the heritage of Black Earth and serving as a resource for local historical research.
