Historic Spanish Point is a 30 acre historic, archaeological, and environmental museum located on Little Sarasota Bay. Discover 5,000 years of history while enjoying the surrounding natural beauty.

Mission

To connect people of today with 5,000 years of human history in Southwest Coastal Florida by collecting, preserving and interpreting objects and traditions significant to our region's past.

Artifact Collections

15,000 objects in the collections represent the prehistory and history of southwest coastal Florida.

Research Collections

A small research center is open by appointment and contains documents, photographs, books, and periodicals relating to regional history.

Programs

Historic Spanish Point offers third and fourth grade field trip programs to public and private schools. Guided tours are offered to the general public daily.
