The Galveston County Museum was founded in 1976. We care for over 10,000 artifacts and archives and rotate exhibits to highlight the history of Galveston County.

We care for over 10,000 artifacts and archives related to Galveston County History.

We maintain the research collection of the Galveston County Historical Commission. It is open by appointment.
