Description

To instruct and educate the area youth in the importance of preserving the past history. To provide a location for indivuals to come to research their family history. We have all the County Newspapers on Microfilm and in bound editions, from the 1880's to present day. Provide information on local Cemetaries.

History

Acquired this location in the mid 1980's for a permenant home for County related artifacts. Have built new buildings 1998 to 2002 Acquired a one room Schoolhouse and Territorial Log Cabin from 1880's.

Local County related articles used for everyday living by County residents from the 1880's to the 1950's.

Research Collections

Bound copies of County Newspapers from the 1800's to present day. Newspapers are all on microfilm and we have Microfilm reader printer.
County History books, written by local resident
Cemetaries in the County
School Records, stored at County Courthouse
Church records at local Churches

Demonstrations for school children.
