Located in the famous 1880's silver mining boomtown of Leadville, Colorado at the top of Colorado's Rocky Mountains, the National Mining Hall of Fame & Museum is a monument to the memory of the men and women who pioneered the discovery, development and processing of our nation's natural resources. Mining's colorful history is showcased throughout the facility.

There are two museums on the property. One is the Bowie Schoolhouse Museum which was moved from Bowie in 1979. The other is the Paonia Museum which was the Parks family home and was built in the early 1900s.
