The Jacksonville Area Genealogical and Historical Society was organized in 1972 and incorporated in 1976 as a non-profit organization to collect data of a genealogical and historical nature. Most of our records cover Morgan County, Illinois and other nearby counties such as Cass, Scott, Sangamon, Menard, Macoupin, Greene, Adams, Brown, Schuyler and Pike.
