The museum interprets the history of Manassas and the Northern Virginia Piedmont region, with exhibits such as Civil War weapons and uniforms, railroad memorabilia, quilts and more.
The museum depicts 110 years of fire fighting history and displays original equipment used from 1909 to the present including four antique fire engines, volunteer alerting systems, uniforms, and pictures.
The center serves as a museum, Stuart's Hill Center is operated by Manassas National Battlefield Park.
