Located inside the Florida Public Archaeology Network headquarters in downtown Pensacola, the Destination Archaeology Resource Center is an archaeology museum open to the public. Inside you will learn about the amazing archaeological sites that you can visit and experience throughout the state. Our exhibits include displays about both land and underwater archaeology sites. We showcase heritage sites open to the public within the eight regions of the FPAN with traditional and interactive displays, including touchscreens, tablet computers and artifacts. Additionally, our museum hosts a variety of free exhibits, events, and programs throughout the year.

Art

The mission of the University of West Florida Art Gallery is the preservation, study and communication of Contemporary Art. In its role as a university art gallery devoted to the exhibition, interpretation and study of Contemporary Art, the Gallery addresses the sometimes controversial questions inherent in the art of today. A major emphasis of the UWF Art Gallery is education. In this capacity, the Gallery serves as a teaching facility for students of the University of West Florida. Through exhibitions and programs, the Gallery also provides art education and cultural awareness to other Northwest Florida students of all ages and institutions and to the Gulf Coast community in general.

To collect, preserve, and display facts, papers, maps, books, objects, and artifacts pertaining to the Greater Pensacola area. Also to conduct historical research and disseminate it by publications and exhibits, arouse pride in our historical heritage by educational means.

The mission of the Pensacola Museum of Art is to be a bridge to the visual arts for the diverse populations of Pensacola and the surrounding communities by: providing an array of exhibitions within our historic building; collecting 19th, 20th and 21st century works on paper; and, implementing age specific educational programs to inspire and encourage an appreciation of the arts.

The UWF Historic Trust manages the University of West Florida's 8-acre downtown campus, Historic Pensacola. Historic Pensacola is a living laboratory providing University students the opportunity to live, work, and study in a National Register Historic District.
